Statement from LP Brussels condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine
We at LP Brussels totally condemn the Russian invasion of Ukraine which is an unprovoked, unjustified and premeditated attack against a sovereign democratic state. It represents a clear violation of international law and the UN Charter, and risks undermining European and global security and stability.
We believe Russia must be held accountable for this attack, not least the loss of life and the human suffering.
We support the Ukrainian government in the face of this assault on their sovereignty and territorial integrity and call upon the international community to take the firmest possible stand against this Russian aggression. We must uphold the values of freedom, democracy, and the sovereignty of nations around the world and, not least, uphold the rules-based system of international law.
We may all feel helpless in the face of tragedy on this scale, but we should all do what we can. As a private company we will do what we can and have contacted the UNHCR to make a donation, and offer our full support, our solidarity, and whatever assistance we can provide to Ukraine.
We invite our fellow consultants and consultancies in Brussels to do the same.
We hold the people of Ukraine in our hearts and minds at this terrible moment in Europe’s history.
