LP’s Mark Watts at UK-EU transport event: 2024 and beyond

LP Brussels Director, and CEO of UKTiE, Mark Watts participated in a roundtable on transport priorities and the new EU mandate, with the Second Permanent Secretary of the UK Department for Transport, Jo Shanmugalingam, sharing his analysis of the four key challenges facing both the UK and EU: decarbonisation, digitalisation, investment and resilience.

Given our shared challenges of decarbonisation, digitalisation, investment and resilience, and our common values of democracy, social justice, the rules based international order, and free and fair international trade, we can only move forward if we work together.

He then attended the evening event at the UK Ambassador’s Residence joined by Commissioner Vălean’s Head of Cabinet, Filip-Alexandru Negreanu-Arboreanu.
