LP Brussels hiring EU Public Affairs Intern

LP Brussels is looking for a motivated and ambitious intern to support our team in Brussels working on EU climate, energy and transport policy. In particular, he or she will contribute in areas such as research, monitoring and assistance in the organization of meetings and events.
The person we are looking for:
- Academic background in political science, social sciences, international relations, environmental studies, economics or equivalent.
- Is passionate about EU politics and policy
- Has good knowledge of WordPress and Microsoft Office applications
- Has an excellent level of written and spoken English, other languages a bonus
- Understands what motivates and influences decision makers
- Has a direct interest and some experience in the fields of EU climate, energy or transport policy
- An ability to interpret and condense information into a concise format
- The candidate should be self-motivated, well organized, and capable of multitasking and working efficiently and autonomously.
- Capacity to work with people from different social and cultural backgrounds.
Key responsibilities:
- Support work on client accounts in the following fields in particular – industrial sector, maritime transport, and top-level EU transport.
- General support on association management
- Provide logistical support for meetings
- Support social media engagement and monitoring
- Monitor and report on legislation and political discussions as they pass through the EU institutions.
- Help deliver events and organize meeting on behalf of clients
- Draft briefings/reports to send to industry representatives

Type of contract: 6-month CIP (Belgian internship, remunerated) – Belgium-based
