LP Brussels hiring EU Public Affairs Intern

LP Brussels is looking for a motivated and ambitious intern to support our team in Brussels working on EU climate, energy and transport policy. In particular, he or she will contribute in areas such as research, monitoring and assistance in the organization of meetings and events.

The person we are looking for:

  • Is passionate about EU politics and policy
  • Understands what motivates and influences decision makers
  • Has an excellent level of written and spoken English, other languages a bonus
  • Has a direct interest and some experience in the fields of EU climate, energy or transport policy
  • An ability to interpret and condense information into a concise format
  • Has the ability to work flexibly and proactively

Key responsibilities:

  • Support work on client accounts in the following fields in particular – bioenergy (biomass), maritime transport and top-level EU transport
  • Monitor and report on legislation and political discussions as they pass through the EU institutions.
  • Research and support drafting of industry position papers
  • Help deliver events and organize board meetings on behalf of LP Brussels or its clients
  • Draft newsletters to send to industry representatives

The candidate will be a valuable member of our company, integrated into our work that includes direct contact with clients. He or she will have a mix of close interaction with existing staff members as well as a degree of autonomy that will allow them to grow professionally and personally.
