LP Brussels Director, and sustainable transport fuels expert, Mark Watts had the honour of acting as a co-host at this year’s Sustainable Maritime Fuels Fest which took place in Porto. It brought together sustainable fuel experts & leading players in the entire fuel, energy and shipping supply and value chain, to discuss how to promote the development, production and uptake of sustainable fuels, including biofuels and synthetic fuels, and advance marine decarbonisation. Organised by uncommon conferences the event turns the usual conference formula on its head, by putting the participants in a lead role.
Mark Watts says:
Great to be in #Porto for the #SMFFest24! ⚓
Listen to my 4️⃣ take-aways on my vlog.
Thanks to uncommon conferences for the creative event concept. Check all the organisers out if you want to deliver a collaborative event focussed on outcomes!
Check me out if you want to know what next from #Brussels for #shipping?!
Now we have the the EU’s regulatory sticks, ETS, FuelEU Maritime, AFIR, etc, will there now be regulatory certainty? And what about those carrots in the next five years!? Will maritime decarbonisation get its fair share of those earmarked ETS and FuelEU Maritime receipts?
